A Church of Thieves

Tisholavo hated Adventists . . . until the day he fell in love with an Adventist girl! He tried to impress her by going to church and learning to pray—and it worked! Soon they were married and he dreamed of a better future.

But Tisholavo had a checkered past with a criminal record that was about to catch up with him. He was tried for murder and found guilty, and almost overnight, he became the most wanted man in Madagascar!

Feeling cornered with no way out, he fled deep into the jungle, and for four long years survived by living like an animal. Finally, with nothing left to lose, and sure his family had abandoned him, he ventured out of the forest and went to the safest place he knew—the Adventist church.

The church elder welcomed him warmly, but Tisholavo soon found himself back in the jungle where he felt safe. This time, however, he had a radio with him, and that made all the difference. Soon, a group of thieves, also hiding in the jungle, were listening to the radio with him.

Watch Tisholavo’s journey and see what happened next in the amazing and unexpected conclusion of his story.

It’s wonderful to witness lives being transformed for the kingdom of heaven—and I love it when God uses Adventist World Radio to do it!
