After being convicted by the Holy Spirit that she needed to study and follow God’s Word, my dear mother was baptized into the SDA church in 1975. A few years later I too was baptized into the SDA church. I later attended academy and went Andrews University. Following graduate school, I was convicted that I needed to daily surrender my life to Christ (1 Cor. 15:31) and start my day with morning worship (Proverbs 8:17; Mark 1:35). Since that commitment began my life journey has been full of blessings and trials. To be sure, God has been continuously faithful.
My greatest blessing has been my family – both my immediate and church family. My wife and I have been married for over thirty years and we have two wonderful boys (and daughter-in-law) that love the Lord. Through my church family, I have made many eternal friendships and look forward to making many more. I love visiting, reading, spending time outdoors, and being used by the Lord. I believe that God has called everyone to ministry and three of my favorite ministries are Sabbath School, homeless ministry and religious liberty.
Cicero is blessed with so many leaders and members committed to serving. I count it an honor and privilege to serve the Lord with them as we await his soon coming. As a church we have much work to do and through God’s grace and the working of the Holy Spirit may we daily grow in Christ and be a beacon of truth and light. John 6:37; Gal 2:20; Ps. 138-:1-3; Rev 14:6-12.
